“From an early age, I knew something was wrong with my physical health. From feeling faint, to passing out, to feeling nauseated and dehydrated, I was treated as if it was all ‘in my head.’ It took me 15 years after receiving my nursing degree before I was convinced that there had to be an answer. At the age of 45, I finally discovered Hypermobile EDS, Dysautonomia, POTS and MCAS and received these diagnoses that validated all of my concerns after traveling to Houston, Texas where I was diagnosed.”
April is a wife and a mom to six children; three grown and three young. She is a Gran to one special granddog. She shares her home with three beautiful rescue cats, “Fluffy”, “Mercy” and “Tigger.” April is a nurse, writer and artist who has a deep need to help others.
